Martha Stewart's Stich Fest

I really wish I lived in the New York City area so I could attend this workshop. It looks like so much fun. Oh well. I shall just console myself with the knowledge that my Encyclopedia of Sewing Crafts will be here soon!

Liberty at Target

Like most other people, I was curious to see the collaboration between Liberty of London and Target. I thought it was okay for the most part, but the girls section was standout. Beautiful and well made apparel for my lovely little girl. All the pieces are fully lined and the workmanship is excellent. I picked up a dress, a shirt and a swimsuit for my daughter and was a happy camper. I also picked up a teapot but that was merely out of habit!! Not too bad but when I think about all the hype prior to the arrival, I wonder how it would be possible to please!

Martha Stewart Bench

Love this Bench from the new Martha Stewart Living for Home Depot line. It has a lot of potential. It is currently only available online but I hear tell it will be available in stores towards the end of this month. I certainly hope so because I am sure this will be coming to live with me soon.

Saint Patricks Day

I am Welsh and therefore I celebrate my Saint on March 1st. Saint David's day. A wonderful day that is filled with daffodils and song and food. However, I now live in the United States and, therefore, I am surrounded with the whole St. Patricks day hoopla! I just found out that I need to make sure my children are wearing something green else a thumping may ensue. I have also noticed the plethora of crap found in stores and that hurts my eye. Blogs to the rescue. So much St. Patricks day stuff to be found that is both creative, easy and beautiful. I am sending my children to school with the lucky pennies and I think a batch of cupcakes with the cupcake picks will accompany them. Perhaps a few clover crafts too but for now, these two are the winners.

Martha Stewart Living - April 2010

Always love the April issues of Living. The Easter ideas are always exceptional and the issue always seems to usher in Spring. This year is no exception. Just an outstanding edition which I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Sarah's House Season 3

Saw these photos today of the third season of Sarah's House. It started airing in Canada yesterday and will air in the US in April - I cannot wait. I love this show and this mudroom had me at hello! Seriously, is Sarah Richardson capable of doing anything other than gorgeous?!

Williams Sonoma Easter

They sure do Easter right! I purchased these baskets 6 years ago for my daughter and it still looks great. Other family members have also been gifted with them - they are beautiful. I can also vouch for the jelly beans - awesome flavors! I love how the cloche looks but I am sure I can do that myself far cheaper! Beautiful inspiration!

So pretty the flower!

I love ranunculus! While at Home Depot yesterday, I spied the first ones this year. They had some yellow and a few pink but my heart was stolen by the three pots of white with pink tips. Sigh! Here is one of my beauties freshly watered and waiting to be placed in her new pot!

Martha Stewart Paint

I went into Home Depot yesterday to pick up paint stripper. Oh my, look what I found! The palette is unreal, so expansive yet so subtle. I was in heaven. I picked up a few testers and I am very impressed. The packaging alone made me happy but the product inside is also awesome. Is there anything she cannot do?! I paid $2-94 for an 8oz tester which is a very good price.

Available at Home Depot.

Lemon Cupcakes

I have made these cupcakes so many times and they are just perfection. They are from a recipe via Style at Home. Recommend them, recommend them, recommend them! Just one note - I do add more lemon zest than the recipe calls for! Lemon = good!

Style at Home magazine

Cannot tell you much I love this magazine. After the slew of shelter magazines that have gone to the newsstand in the sky, it seems all I have to do is go north of the border for some seriously good magazine! I have had a subscription to Canadian House and Home for some time and I love it. It is consistently wonderful eye candy! Last year, I came across Style at Home. I do not remember where I first saw it but it struck a chord. It is just a fantastic magazine with absolute masses of inspiration between the pages. Cannot get enough. I subscribe now and I think it is around $30 American which includes shipping and is, for me, a great deal. Love this magazine!

Cherry Blossoms

After the eye candy of yesterday, I was inspired to go look at all the cherry blossoms that are dotted around my house. With trusty camera in tow, I spent a good hour just wondering in the glory of these trees. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this morning.

Cherry Blossom Wedding

I love the Spring 2010 Martha Stewart Weddings. The stand out for me was the Cherry Blossoms wedding ideas. It just smacked you in the face with pure unadulterated Spring. I could just look at those pages over and over again. Here are a few of my favorites (oh and I will be making flower girl wands this weekend - just because!)
