Boden

I love Boden for many reasons. The primary reason is that the clothes are wonderfully made and last and last. My children have both worn lots of their clothes and they look as good as the day they were purchased. I like that they do not buy into the child as adult look and most of their clothes are age appropriate. It also doesn't hurt that they have a lot of great colorful clothes that always seem in style. I am pretty sure that the outfits above will find their way into my daughters closet at some point!

Girls Underwear

should look like this...

and not like some of the underwear I have seen in various stores of late. My daughter is 6 and (as far as I am aware) not a whore. Why are we in such a rush to dress them as hookers? Who is buying this crap? I want my daughter to look like the innocent litte girl that she is not a two bit pole dancer. It is beyond frustrating to shop for a little girl now.

This cup

this cup is just perfect to me. Delicate, pretty and ever so slightly different. The real reason I love it though is because it is called the Cardiff cup. I was born in Cardiff, Wales so it makes me really happy. There are also plates and bowl in the design but this teacup needs to come live with me - nowhere near Cardiff!

Back Again!

Took a little break to deal with my son starting kindergarten, my husband going on a little deployment and my daughter starting a new therapy timetable and all day school. Lots of adjusting and time management needed. Now I feel ready to return to my sporadic posting of things I like! Enjoy!

Umbrellas

Umbrellas make me happy. They are a huge part of growing up in Britain and the selection is outstanding! I saw a link for this company on the Martha Stewart Bride blog and I love it. It is a British company and if there is one thing we know, it is umbrellas. I particularly liked these and if there was a gun to my head, then I would have to pick the pick polka dot umbrella. Lots and lots of choices and all available from Brollies Galore

This is so simple. The possibilities are endless. Different punches for different occasions. Why didn't I think it this? Basically take a plain favor box, take a decorative punch and voila - awesome! Those are red macaron that you see! I love it.

Martha Stewart Crafts

My local Michaels is one of the new concept Michaels stores - this means it sucks! They usually only carry about 4 Martha Stewart Crafts items. As this is one of my favorite reasons to visit Michals, the whole redo upset me greatly. Yesterday I rushed into the store to pick up acrylic paint and standing before me in all its glory was a Martha Stewart Crafts Halloween display. Oh be still my beating heart. Lots and lots of great items for me to lust over. I especially loved the cupcake wrappers with Poison written across them but these two items are my absolute favorite. I may go back and pick up more (especially the bags which do not disappoint in person!)

All of these would be great in my size too but I do love them for my daughter. Perfect cardigans from Crewcuts. Is there anything that they cannot do?!

This photo of the Blue Grotto on the Island of Capri makes me happy today. Wish I was lolling on a boat with my hands trailing through the water (no swimming allowed in the grotto). Ahhhhhhhhh

Martha Stewart Halloween

I love the special issues that Martha Stewart Living puts out every so often. Even though a lot of the content has appeared in previous issues, I still love them and will be first in line to purchase them. This month (August 31st) we get another Halloween issue and I cannot wait. Now if we could just get a Kids issue sometime soon, that would be awesome!
