snow glorious snow

Today was a glorious day. January and almost 60! Inconceivable! We have had some nasty weather the past month or so and I consider today to be a little karmic payback. December was all snow all the time and then January began with monstrous flooding which had devastating consequences for so many people in Western Washington. I am very lucky to live in a place that escaped the majority of the flooding thanks in no small part to rain shadowing from the Olympic mountains. Today I saw daffodils at Safeway and they made me smile. I love daffodils so very much. They are my national flower and they tell me that spring is a comin'! But before I get too carried away with dreams of Spring, here are a few photos I took of the crazy snowstorm of December!
